Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix placed 2nd in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 secs. The youngest to win the 200 meters during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, by beating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of all events.
